Welterweight contender Neil Magny stopped Craig White in the first round of the UFC Liverpool co-main event.
In the UFC Liverpool co-main event, the promotion’s #9 welterweight Neil Magny stopped UFC newcomer Craig White with strikes in the opening round. White came looking to clinch up his opponent, holding Magny up against the cage. Just as White went for the takedown, Magny used it to find top position. As soon as white returned to his feet, Magny shoved him up against the fence, and landed a mean knee to the nose. After some savage ground and pound, the fight was over. In his post-fight interview, Magny called out the promotion’s #5 welterweight, Kamaru Usman.

White clinched up with Magny to open the bout, controlling him against the cage. A low blow from Magny caused a brief pause to the action, and when the fight resumed, White continued on with his cage control. White changed levels, but Magny used it as a way to find the full mount, albeit briefly. Magny allowed his opponent to get up, and landed a huge knee to the face up against the cage, causing White to drop. Magny went full savage with his ground strikes, forcing the referee to step in and stop the fight.
