The UFC has released its official statement regarding Nick Diaz’s current domestic violence allegations.

Things have not been going well for the Diaz brothers as of late. Just two weeks after Nate Diazgot involved in a scuffle with Clay Guida and his team at Combate Americas, elder brother Nick Diaz is now facing domestic violence allegations.

The said incident reportedly happened at a Las Vegas residence on Friday night. According to law enforcement officers, Diaz was taken into custody after “being combative” during the arrest. The female complainant, meanwhile, was transported to a local hospital.

Diaz had just been officially reinstated back into the roster in last April 19th, after his 12-month suspension for failing to report his whereabouts to USADA had lapsed. The UFC, however, took a strong stance against domestic violence but promised that due process will be implemented in handling Diaz’s case.

“The organization does not tolerate domestic violence and requires all athletes to adhere to the UFC Fighter Conduct Policy. Every athlete is deserving of due process and this situation, as with any official allegations, will be duly reviewed and thoroughly investigated by an independent party,” the official company statement reads (via MMAjunkie).

Diaz is required to appear in court on Saturday, May 26th, before he can post bail amounting to $18,000. He has been charged with felony domestic battery by strangulation and misdemeanor domestic battery.
