‘Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung wants to fight Frankie Edgar next

After Frankie Edgar’s win over Cub Swanson, UFC featherweight Chan Sung Jung had a straightforward callout for “The Answer.”

Former UFC lightweight champion and current featherweight contender Frankie Edgar bounced back from his first career knockout loss by winning a clear-cut unanimous decision over Cub Swanson in front of his adoring fans in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

With Brian Ortega turning his KO of Edgar into a showdown against current champion Max Holloway, it’s a near certainty that Edgar will need at least another win to get back in position for a title shot, and Chan Sung Jung, aka “The Korean Zombie,” is very interested in being Edgar’s next opponent.

Jung (14-4) returned from mandatory military service in South Korea last year, knocking out Dennis Bermudez in February 2017. He was due to fight Ricardo Lamas at UFC 214, but a torn ACL put him out of that bout, and obviously take him out of action for the rest of the year.

Admittedly, I cannot rule out that TKZ really just wants to play Frankie Edgar in a rousing EA UFC 3 session... maybe it could be that, but let’s just assume he wants to physically fight him. It’d certainly be a very compelling matchup that could easily headline a Fight Night event
