Here are the Bellator 183 results and highlights from Roy Nelson vs. Javy Ayala and Lorenz Larkin vs. Paul Daley.

The Bellator 183 main card saw Paul Daley pull out his signature left hook to blow the doors off of Lorenz Larkin in the second round of their welterweight meeting. Roy Nelson made his promotional debut by earning a unanimous decision over up and comer Javy Ayala. Click HERE for the results and highlights from earlier in the night.

Paul Daley def. Lorenz Larkin by KO at 2:40 of round 2: Welterweight

Daley came out launching kicks at Larkin to open up the fight Larkin landed hard leg kick, to which Daley responded with a leg kick, to which Larkin responded with a leg kick. Larkin put the kicks on the back burner and started landing with the hands a bit. Daley slipped on a kick, and Larkin followed to ground where the round ended.

The second frame saw a bit of grappling, as Daley surprised everyone by shooting in on Larkin. Larkin remained vertical, and the welterweights clinched it out for a bit, but on the break, Daley landed his patented left hook that sent his opponent into a daze. Daley followed up with a 3 piece combo that dropped Larkin, and then followed up with some academic ground and pound.

Roy Nelson def. Javy Ayala by Unanimous Decision (30-26, 29-28): Heavyweight

Ayala went right at Nelson, throwing a variety of strikes as the veteran just sort of took it all in. The pace of Ayala slowed a bit at the midpoint of the first round, and Nelson used the opportunity to score a takedown into half guard. Nelson moved into full mount, but Ayala scrambled back to his feet before the round expired.

The big men went toe to toe to kick off the second stanza, until Nelson bull rushed a double leg takedown, landing back in top of half guard. Nelson pinned his opponent up against the fence, and scored with several ground strikes before transitioning to the back. Ayala showed some resiliency and scrambled to the back of “Big Country,” which allowed him to find open space. Nelson ate a big kick to the face, but ate it like a champ, and scored himself another takedown. Nelson chipped away with elbows and punches from the top of half guard as time expired.

Ayala was getting off with his strikes to open the third round, throwing a similar variety that we saw in the first frame. Nelson had enough of getting picked at, and ran through his opponent with another takedown, but this time into side control. Ayala struggled to find some answers to Nelson’s top control, and Nelson landed quite a few ground strikes down the stretch.
