A women’s flyweight bout between Joanne Calderwood and Bec Rawlings is official for UFC Fight Night: Sydney in November.

With both women coming off losses at strawweight, a flyweight matchup has been booked between veterans Joanne Calderwood and Bec Rawlings for UFC Fight Night in Sydney, Australia. The UFC announced the matchup following a report from the Brisbane Times.

Calderwood (11-3) has lost her last two fights, and failed to make weight in her most recent bout against Cynthia Calvillo at UFC Glasgow. The Scotswoman also suffered a guillotine choke defeat to Jessica Andrade last September. She has fought at flyweight once before in her UFC career, winning by TKO over Valerie Letourneau in June 2016. With the UFC set to fully introduce the women’s flyweight division through season 26 of The Ultimate Fighter, this provides an opportunity for Calderwood and others to permanently move up a weight class.

Rawlings (7-6) is also on a two-fight skid and missed weight for her last fight against Tecia Torres. The Australian has fought twice before inside the Octagon in her home country, submitting Lisa Ellis before winning a decision over Seo Hee Ham. Neither she nor Calderwood has ever experienced three consecutive losses, so this is a clear must-win for both women.

UFC Fight Night: Sydney takes place on Saturday, November 18th (Sunday, November 19th in Australia) and features a heavyweight main event between Mark Hunt and Marcin Tybura. The main card airs live on Fox Sports 1.
