Diego Sanchez will head back up to 170 and face a tough opponent in November.

Diego Sanchez just can’t seem to stay at one weight class. After dropping down and down further and then back up a bit, he’s decided to come back to where he’s had the most UFC fights and arguably the most success - at 170 pounds. The UFC announced late yesterday that the middleweight winner of the very first TUF season will meet Matt Brown at UFC Fight Night 120 in Norfolk, VA, on November 11th.

Sanchez (27-10, 16-10 UFC) has taken his last four fights at lightweight after a one-fight excursion to featherweight where he lost to Ricardo Lamas. Sanchez went 2-2 in those four bouts, most recently getting knocked out by Al Iaquinta in under two minutes in April. This will be his first welterweight fight since a decision loss to Jake Ellenberger in 2012.

Brown (20-16, 13-10 UFC) has been in a rough patch lately, losing five out of his six bouts. His lone win came over Tim Means back in July 2015, and he has dropped three straight since to Demian Maia, Ellenberger, and Donald Cerrone.

UFC Fight Night 120 will be headlined by a lightweight bout between Anthony Pettis and Dustin Poirier
