Conor McGregor knows Floyd Mayweather is in good shape but doesn’t believe he will able to take his best shots on Aug. 26.

Despite having competed in the sport of boxing for over twenty years, Floyd Mayweather Jr. looks and feels as fresh as ever.

‘Money’ is arguably the greatest defensive boxer of all time, accumulating a perfect 49-0 professional record and etching his name into the history books as one of the sport’s legends.

On August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Mayweather will look to extend his resume to 50-0 by beating UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor, who is 0-0 as a professional boxer.

Despite his inexperience in the ring, ‘The Notorious’, who turned 29 yesterday, is as confident as ever that he pulls off the impossible and beats Mayweather at his own game.

Speaking to the media at a London Q&A on Friday, McGregor complimented Mayweather’s youthful looks but believes the boxing great won’t be able to withstand his onslaught on Aug 26.

“He’s in good shape. He’s right - the little bastard does look alright for forty. He does look alright for a 40-year-old,” McGregor laughed. He looks alright, I’ll give him that. But his frame is just too small.

“When I come face to face with men, I can tell, through looking at their facial structure. I can tell with them all. I’ve fought many men under many rulesets. Big Eastern European motherf-ckers. I’m looking at their skull and I’m like, ‘it’s gonna take me a few smacks to put this man away.’

“Floyd is definitely not gonna able to take the shots, I’m telling you. The legs and the core and the stability. It doesn’t support him against this animal. He is in over his head with this; he does not know what he’s got himself into.”

McGregor is known for his pressuring style and devastating left hand. It took just 13 seconds for the Dubliner to KO former pound-for-pound No. 1 Jose Aldo at UFC 194, finishing the Brazilian with a perfectly placed left hook and becoming the first man to beat ‘Scarface’ in the UFC.

Despite possessing some of the best boxing skills inside the Octagon, McGregor is entering an entirely different world against Mayweather. The boxing superstar has outclassed the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Canelo Alvarez, and Oscar De La Hoya.

The boxing extravaganza takes place on August 26 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada.
