Georges St-Pierre to Michael Bisping: You should man up and fight me in November in New York

Georges St-Pierre has issued his formal challenge to Michael Bisping.

It was Georges St-Pierre’s inability to fight as early as July that led the UFC to scrap his supposed middleweight title fight against Michael Bisping. Because of that, the company has arranged for Yoel Romero and Robert Whittaker to fight for an interim title at UFC 213 this Saturday, with the winner slated to face Bisping, who is currently healing from a knee injury.

But the former long-time welterweight champion is not yet ready to let go of the Bisping fight, and his chance to win a second world title. MMAFighting.com first reported the news on Thursday, stating GSP sent a text message to both Bisping and UFC president Dana White, pushing for the fight to happen later in the year.

"Michael, you should man up and fight me 11/4 in NY. I’m coming out of retirement to retire you. Dana [White], please make it happen,” St-Pierre’s message reportedly reads.

Recently, Bisping issued an ultimatum to St-Pierre, giving him until Saturday to “man up and call Dana White.”

The UFC has yet to announce further details about the New York City card this November.
