A rematch of one of the best fights of 2012 will go down in Vancouver on August 27th.
The UFC has decided to book a bout between two men that are quite familiar with each other. In fact, they put on one of the best fights in the history of the promotion back in 2012. Joe Lauzon and Jim Miller will meet again, this time in Vancouver, on August 27th at UFC on Fox 21.
The UFC confirmed the booking last night.
Lauzon (26-11, 13-8 UFC) is coming off a big win over Diego Sanchez at UFC 200 earlier this month. The 14-time bonus winner has won four out of his last six overall.
Miller (26-8, 1 NC, 15-7, 1 NC UFC) snapped a two-fight losing streak with his own win at UFC 200, stopping Takanori Gomi in the first round.
Miller won the first battle between these two men by decision, back at UFC 155, in one of the bloodier fights you'll ever see.
UFC on Fox 21 does not have a headliner yet despite being just under six weeks away, but the event will feature Anthony Pettis' featherweight debut when he meets Charles Oliveira. Tickets for the show will go on sale to the general public on Friday.
