Nate Diaz said that UFC featherweight champ Jose Aldo needs to stop crying about Conor McGregor.
Nate Diaz isn't one to mince words.
On his recent appearance on The MMA Hour Diaz, 32, unloaded on former opponent Conor McGregor, calling the current UFC lightweight champion a 'f--king bitch'. But the Californian didn't stop there.
Diaz, a former UFC lightweight title challenger, called out featherweight champ Jose Aldo for 'crying about McGregor.'
Diaz said McGregor made a fool of 'Scarface' on their 2015 world tour and 'slapped the little f**ker' all over the place.
“Aldo’s crying about McGregor... I’m like 'bro it’s your fault, you took him on that fucking ride around the world, and let him punk you everywhere'," Diaz told Ariel Helwani on Wednesday, per Niall McIntyre of Sports Joe.
"You’re responsible (so) what the fuck are you crying for? I don’t even know if he’s crying anymore because he got over it, he probably realised that. I’m like 'bro you just made a star out of that guy', I wish I had somebody I could just run all around the country and slap around, You know what I’m saying, now I’m the most famous guy in the world and all I had to do was slap around this little fucker all around the whole place."
McGregor knocked out Aldo in just thirteen seconds to win the 145-pound title at UFC 194 but was forced to relinquish the belt after capturing lightweight gold against Eddie Alvarez. Aldo was reinstated as the official featherweight champion last year.
Diaz said he doesn't mean to be disrespectful to Aldo but will not hold back when it comes to telling the truth.
“I don’t mean to disrespect Aldo... but let’s talk the truth here, this is the real hour," he said.
Diaz continued to put Aldo on blast and even took a shot at former middleweight champ Anderson Silva.
“Jose Aldo was bitching about it, all these guys who were champions when I was a broke motherfucker, they’re all complaining now that they lost their belts and they’re not champs and complaining that they can’t get what they want and that Conor’s getting all the love.
"I’m like, when you guys were champions, I knew that they were getting paid shit money… I was going off by myself and getting shit money… saying 'fuck the UFC' and all these things and nobody was cutting me… I was sitting there like, 'why is Aldo and Silva and all these guys not speaking up?'
"If I had the belt at that time, by now I’d be a fifty-time millionaire."
Aldo is set to take on top contender Max Holloway in a title unification bout at UFC 212 on June 3 while McGregor, 28, is currently pursuing a boxing megafight against Floyd Mayweather Jr.
Diaz, who is the only man to beat 'The Notorious' in the UFC, said he isn't interested in a trilogy bout with McGregor, and head promoter Dana White isn't sure if he'll ever return to MMA.
