One of the biggest dragon boat races in the Philippines is on.
Almost 400 participants from 12 teams will vie in three categories at the Double Dragon Boat Race 2016, sponsored by DoubleDragon Properties Corp., August 20 at Muelle Loney, Iloilo City.
Bohol Paddlers Association Inc., Boracay All Stars, Boracay Sea Dragons, Maharlika Drakon Dragonboat Racers, One Piece Drakon Sangres, Onslaught Raching Dragons, Philippine Air Force Dragon Boat Team, Philippine Coast Guard Dragon Boat Team, Philippine Navy Dragon Boat Team, Pilipinas Wave Warriors, Rowers Club Philippines Sea Dragons, and Triton Dragon Boat Racing Team will join the Men (Small Boat), Women (Small Boat), and Mix (Standard Boat) categories in a 200-meter straight course.
The champions from each category will get a trophy, medals, Php 50,000 cash and 10,000 gift certificates. The 1st Runner Up will receive a trophy, Php 20,000 cash and 5,000 gift certificates, the 2nd Runner Up will be given a trophy, Php 10,000 cash and 5,000 gift certificates, and the 3rd Runner Up will bring home a trophy and 5,000 gift certificates.
