The Philippines' Blu Girls Softball Team beat strong opponent Czech Republic to remain in the top 16.
The team is in Surrey, BC to compete against 30 other counties.
Earlier, the Blu Girls, led by MVP Queenie Sabobo and Captain Cheska Almonte, lost to China.
But the team remains strong as they face the US squad head on at 5:30 pm tomorrow in Softball City, White Rock.
The girls celebrated victory in a luncheon at the Kumare restaurant in Delta with their head, Ateneo De Davao alumnus Jun Veloso and Coach Randy Dizer, who also manages the Ateneo softball team.
