That was displayed the fullest by the Aces when they withstood the best NorthPort had to offer before coming out a 106-99 winner Sunday to keep their playoffs hopes alive in the PBA Governors Cup at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Franko House's personal PBA-best 23 points on top of 11 rebounds were enough to pace Alaska, which displayed brilliance for majority of the game despite the absence of top guard Chris Banchero and big games from the Batang Pier's Christian Standhardinger and Michael Qualls.
League Commissioner Willie Marcial approved Banchero's trade to Magnolia Ang Pambansang Manok in exchange for Rodney Brondial and Bobbie Herndon right after the Alaska-NorthPort game.
Marcial's also gave his nod to a separate deal sending Bobby Ray Parks Jr from Blackwater to TNT in exchange for Don Trollano, Anthony Semerad and a future first round pick.
