Magnolia will clinch fifth spot and set up a meeting with Ginebra in the quarterfinals should it wins over league-leader Talk N' Text in their scheduled 4:30 p.m. meeting.

San Miguel Beer earns the right to face Ginebra in the quarterfinals should it beats Meralco in the 7 p.m. tiff coupled by a Magnolia loss in the first game.

In the event both Magnolia and San Miguel Ber wins their respective assignments, the Hotshots will secure the fifth spot and a quarterfinals meeting with the Kings on the strength of the winner-over the other rule.

Magnolia routed San Miguel Beer, 118-82, last June 26.

"It doesn't matter who we play, we have to come out and give an A-plus performance if we want to win," offered Brownlee, last season's Commissioner's Cup Best Import.

Ginebra won over San Miguel and Magnolia in in the eliminations. The Kings escaped with 110-107 overtime with against the Beermen last June 16 and manhandled Magnolia, 102-81, Brownlee 49 points.

"They are both championship-caliber teams, have great experience and have really good imports," Brownlee said.

"San Miguel have a new import and he's been wonderful for that team. We gonna have a dogfight against either team," he added. (JT)
