Tony Mitchell is finally making his PBA comeback Wednesday, looking to get NLEX out of a two-game slump as the Road Warriors tangle with the Alaska Milk Aces at the MOA Arena in Pasay City.

Mitchell has been in town for almost a week now but couldn't play in NLEX's game versus NorthPort Wednesday pending the completion of necessary documents.

Still, the Road Warriors barely lost that game, 79-83.

With Mitchell finally in harness, the Road Warriors look to nail their first win in the 2019 Commissioner's Cup versus the Alaska Milk Aces and import Robert Christopher Daniels.

While the Road Warriors are off to a 0-2 start, the Aces are not doing much better, notching only one win in their first three outings in the mid-season tourney.

The Aces continue to struggle with a crippled lineup.

NLEX and Alaska clash at 7 p.m. with much attention likely to be on Mitchell, a former Detroit Piston with a solid showing with the Star Hotshots in the 2017 edition of the Commissioner's Cup.

The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native helped the Hotshots to a 6-2 win-loss start. Still, the team management decided to ship out Mitchell when Ricardo Ratliffe finished his tour of duty with the Korean league then.

The Ratliffe-led Hotshots went as far as the semifinals where they were booted out by eventual champ San Miguel Beer in four games in a race-to-three series.

Needless to say, Mitchell is looking forward for redemption which he hopes to achieve with the Road Warriors.

With North Texas in college play, Mitchell made the All-Sun Belt first team in 2012 and the second team in 2013.

He's tipped to provide the inside presence that the Road Warriors badly need.
