The PBA is excited to get the ball rolling, the league held its pre-season press conference yesterday at the Conrad Hotel in Pasay City.
PBA announced the roster of team muses for the opening ceremony of its 44th Season.
Most notable of the pack is former Miss Universe Pia Wurtzbach and Megastar Sharon Cuneta who will serve as muses for the Barangay Ginebra Gin Kings and Magnolia Hotshots, respectively.
Volleyball phenom Alyssa Valdez will suit up as muse for the NLEX Road Warriors while Olympic swimmer Jasmine Alkhaldi and volleyball star Michele Gumabao takes on the role for the Blackwater Elite as a duo. Other muses include actresses Yam Concepcion for the Phoenix Fuel Masters and Klea Pineda for the Alaska Aces.
Completing the list are beauty queens Aya Fernandez and Kylie Versoza, who will join NorthPort and San Miguel, respectively.
The league offers a fiery opening game this Sunday, between crowd-darling Barangay Ginebra and TNT KaTropa at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan as fireworks are very much anticipated.
In a new opening-day feature, the league will first hold the annual Leo Awards to start the season as it will honor the best performers from last year.
