NorthPort Batang Pier weathered a late rally by the Meralco Bolts to hack out a 99-94 win in the 2018 PBA Governors’ Cup, Friday night at the Mall of Asia Arena.

After a 0-6 start to the conference, the Batang Pier have now made it back-to-back wins to revive their playoffs aspirations with a 2-6 card.

Sean Anthony and Stanley Pringle came up clutch for NorthPort, hitting back-to-back three-pointers in the final minute to put the game away.

Anthony wound up with 26 points, four boards, three assists, and three steals, while Pringle registered 24 markers on top of six treys and eight rebounds.

Rashad Woods bounced back from a scoreless first half and went on to finish with 20 points and six rebounds. Moala Tautuaa made 14 markers, including a pair of free throws in the last two-minute mark that gave them more breathing room, 92-88, after the Bolts managed to cut the lead to just two points.

Meanwhile, Allen Durham’s monster outing with 37 points, 19 rebounds, and seven assists went for naught once again as Meralco was dealt with their sixth straight loss, falling to a 1-6 mark.
