THE Mahindra Floodbusters drew timely triples from Reden Celda and Glenn Khobuntin in the final quarter to hold off Blackwater Elite, 96-87.

Their efforts brightened the Floodbusters’ dimming hopes of reaching the playoffs of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup last night at the Araneta Coliseum.

Celda’s triple in the last 4:59 allowed the Floodbuters to stay ahead by 10, 89-79.

They then gained a 15-point cushion with 2:11 to go off Khobuntin’s triple, 96-81.

Celda shot 18 points to lead the Floodbusters to their third triumph in nine games.
