Three-peat Philippine Cup champions San Miguel Beermen opened the new conference with a bang, erasing a 15-point deficit to stun erstwhile undefeated Meralco Bolts, 99-92, in the OPPO PBA Commissioner’s Cup Sunday night at SMART-Araneta Coliseum.
Prized center June Mar Fajardo scored 24 points and 12 rebounds to pace the debuting Beermen while he was helped by Alex Cabagnot who tallied 23 points and nine boards.
