The wait is finally over.

Goliaths San Miguel Beer and Barangay Ginebra finally begin their all-out war as they open their much anticipated best-of-seven championship showdown in the 2018 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup.

THE defending Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup champions San Miguel Beermen are finishing strong in the ongoing tournament after defeating the Blackwater Elite, 115-106, on Wednesday night at the Mall of Asia Arena for their third straight victory.

SUCCESSFULLY bucking a 0-3 start to their campaign in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup, the defending champions San Miguel Beermen expressed readiness now that they are back in the finals.

Completed their tournament turnaround with another finals appearance after eliminating the Alaska Aces on Sunday in their best-of-five semifinal series in four games, the Beermen are now gearing up for another run at the championship for the midseason PBA tournament, armed with the many lessons they learned from what they described was a trying road they had to take.

Ginebra shooting guard Scottie ‘The Hustle Man’ Thompson knows a thing or two about working his way to the top. At 24 years old, he is playing for one of the country’s most loved basketball teams and is already making a mark that he’s been dubbed one of the PBA’s fastest rising stars.

Keeping the fire burning is the only thing that is on the mind of Barangay Ginebra as it goes for a commanding 2-0 lead on Rain or Shine in the resumption of their best-of-five semifinals series in the 2018 Philippine Basketball Association Commissioner’s Cup.

THE Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings are currently on a roll as the elimination round of the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) Commissioner’s Cup winds up. But they are being cautious not to get too caught up with it, knowing work still needs to be done and that they are not out of the woods yet.

Seven straight wins following that forgettable stretch, the Gin Kings have found themselves at the top of the heap and in the semifinals yet again for the sixth straight conference.
