Officials of Meralco Bolts and Barangay Ginebra refused to accept the 'favorite' tag as the two equally determined squads mix it up for Round 3 of their battle for the PBA Governors' Cup crown. AFTER a two-week break for the holidays, the Philippine Basketball Association Governors’ Cup resumes action today with Game One of the best-of-seven finals series between the Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings and the Meralco Bolts.

Happening at the Smart Araneta Coliseum at 7 p.m., the Kings and Bolts reengage in the championship for the season-ending PBA tournament after their previous jousts in 2016 and 2017.

The members of the PBA-bannered Philippine men’s basketball team seeing action in the 30th Southeast Asian Games were made known at the weekend.

To be coached by Barangay Ginebra San Miguel Kings’ Tim Cone, the national are composed of five-time PBA most valuable player June Mar Fajardo, Chris Ross and Marcio Lassiter of the San Miguel Beermen, Japeth Aguilar, LA Tenorio and Stanley Pringle of the Kings.
