The towel that Lakers legend Kobe Bryant wore over his shoulders after playing in the final game of his NBA career sold for more than $30,000 at auction over the weekend.

The NBA’s season — on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic — could be suspended for at least three months, ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reported Sunday night.

Per the report, owners and executives are bracing for the possibility of mid-to-late June — a time when, in a normal year, the NBA Finals would typically be over — being the best-case scenario for play to resume.

The latest big name to register a positive test was New York Knicks owner James Dolan, who is currently not experiencing symptoms according to an announcement from the team. 

It was Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert's positive test which really set in motion the suspension of not only the NBA season, but sports across the country. The good news is that Gobert, along with teammate Donovan Mitchell, have both fully recovered from the coronavirus, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. 

After the spread of Covid-19 caused the NBA to suspend its 2019-20 season, the league is working on if and how it can play out its remaining regular-season games and postseason.

As of March 20, anything is on the table. The world outside of sports isn’t even sure when it will return to some state of normalcy. On Monday, the White House suggested everyday life as we knew it might not return until July or August. The CDC has recommended gatherings of fewer than 50 people for the next eight weeks.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Lakers announced Thursday that two of its players have tested positive for the coronavirus.

"We learned today that two Lakers players have tested positive. Both players are currently asymptomatic, in quarantine and under the care of the team’s physician," the Lakers said in a statement.

The Los Angeles Clippers have announced the purchase of the Forum in Inglewood for $400 million in cash, ending a legal standoff with the venue's former owner, James Dolan and Madison Square Garden. Clippers owner Steve Ballmer has long sought a new arena for his team, which will now be built in Inglewood across the way from where the Forum currently stands.
