Officials are not giving Green the benefit of the doubt anymore.

Draymond Green has been called for two technical fouls in just five games this season. That seems a little much even for him, since he received 12 during all of the 2015-16 regular season.

Yet it's not the volume that's bothering Green, but the reason why he's getting them.

"I got two techs this year for yelling, 'Ahhh'?" Green told The Undefeated. "At this point, do I need to wear a mask? Am I allowed to show emotion on the floor? That's who I am. I play with emotion.

"I love this game, so I'm going to show emotion. But if you yell, 'Ahhh,' after a dunk ... I've never seen anyone get a tech for that."

Green is not being completely honest here, or he doesn't remember his reactions. He's not just yelling, but actually yelling at opponents. That's called taunting.

He got called for his first technical after a breakaway dunk against the Spurs in the season opener. He yelled after it and looked at LaMarcus Aldridge.

After the game, he didn't seem regretful about it.

"Next time I dunk, I'm gonna yell again," Green told CSN Bay Area. "I mean, it's kind of universal. I'm gonna continue to be me, and whatever happens, happens."

The second technical shouldn't have been surprising, then. It didn't even come after a dunk, but a block on Russell Westbrook on Thursday. Again, he looked at Westbrook and got called for taunting.

Were the technicals soft? Probably. Green is clearly not getting the benefit of the doubt anymore. But after such an eventful postseason, that’s not surprising and it's unlikely to change, fair or not.

Green should continue to express himself because that's what makes him great. He just needs to find a better way to channel that emotion because as helpful as it can be at times, it can hurt his team when left unchecked.
