The Los Angeles Lakers are getting a reinforcement on their roster with Markieff Morris reportedly heading to the NBA campus.

The 6'8", 245-pound forward's return will give Vogel another capable scorer who can ease some of the burden on LeBron James and Anthony Davis. He averaged 11.0 points for Detroit this season and 9.4 two seasons ago with Washington and Oklahoma City.

The Lakers are the No. 1 seed in the Western Conference with a 49-14 record. They will play the Los Angeles Clippers in the first game of the season restart on July 30 at 9:30 p.m. ET.

According to Shams Charania of The Athletic and Stadium, Morris will be traveling to Orlando, Florida, on Tuesday to rejoin the Lakers.

According to ESPN's Dave McMenamin, Morris will have to clear quarantine before he's permitted to enter the NBA campus.

Morris didn't go with the Lakers when they initially traveled to the NBA bubble on July 9. Kyle Goon of the Orange County Register reported last week that the 30-year-old was given an excused absence from the team and planned to join them before the season restart.
