Amidst coronavirus pandemic rages on across the country, the NBA, and other sports leagues,, Dallas Mavericks owner Mark Cuban remains optimistic that the league can resume play.

"Once we can determine that we can keep the players and all the important personnel required to put on a game, then we'll certainly look at all the options," Cuban said via CNN. "I'm cautiously optimistic we'll be able to finish a season for television, I don't expect that we'll have fans."

The NBA isn't making any decisions on whether or not to cancel the season, and every day a new idea crops up for how the league could finish out the season. Adam Silver continues to prolong the inevitable of a likely canceled season. One prominent player in the NBA, though, is refuting that.

LeBron James took to Twitter Thursday afternoon to dispel the reports that anyone wants the season to be canceled. The tweet read:

"Saw some reports about execs and agents wanting to cancel the season? That's absolutely not true. Nobody I know saying anything like that. As soon as it's safe we would like to finish our season. I'm ready and our team is ready. Nobody should be canceling anything."

James' sentiment of wanting to finish out the season is shared with many players across the league. However, with the lack of information the NBA is dealing with right now, there's just no way of telling when the season can safely resume. Silver and the league, though, are comfortable waiting as long as possible to resume play, even if it means delaying the start of the 2020-21 season. CBSSPORTS
