The 2019-20 NBA trade deadline has officially passed and while teams like the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat loaded up, the Los Angeles Lakers unsurprisingly decided to stand pat with their current roster.

Marcus Morris is having the best season of his career but he was doing it on a bad New York Knicks team. Now he is on a contender and he will start. He averages 19.6 points per game which is good for third on the team behind Leonard and George. Mo Harkless was occupying the four spot but he was just averaging 5.5 points per game. In the trade for Morris, the Clippers now have a third option to go to. Morris is a power forward that can create his own shot.

The L.A. Clippers have waived guard Isaiah Thomas, it was announced Saturday by President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank.

Thomas, 31, was acquired on Feb. 6 as part of a three-team trade with the Washington Wizards and the New York Knicks. The Tacoma native holds career averages of 18.1 points and 5.0 assists in 28.9 minutes over 525 games with seven NBA teams.

The 5’9”, 185-pound guard played three collegiate seasons at the University of Washington, where he was named to the 2010-11 All-Pac 12 first team, before being drafted by the Sacramento Kings with the 60th overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

The Miami Heat won the trade deadline as they added perimeter defense and shooting in players like Andre Iguodala and Danilo Gallinari
