The Trail Blazers added point guard Isaiah Whitehead to their Las Vegas Summer League roster on Sunday. According to The Athletic’s Michael Scotto, the former Nets draft pick is set to head to Portland.
The former Seton Hall standout appeared in 89 regular season games with Brooklyn after the Nets secured his rights in the 2016 NBA Draft. Last season, Whitehead spent the majority of year with the Grand Rapids Drive (the Piston’s G League affiliate) on a two-way contract.
With the Drive, Whitehead produced 18.4 points and 3.9 assists per game. The 24-year-old guard converted 29.8 percent of his 114 three-point attempts last season.
