Slater tweeted that the two-time reigning Finals MVP will be sidelined for the opener of the series against the Toronto Raptors on Thursday. Durant is dealing with a strained right calf.

The Athletic‘s Blake Murphy added the 30-year-old may not even travel to Toronto for Games 1 and 2, with Game 3 likely being the earliest he could return.

Durant may not even travel to Toronto, which is notable. Most around GS have figured Game 3 was earliest, anyway, but Game 2 could be ruled out shortly.

Slater also said that DeMarcus Cousins is questionable for the first contest of the seven-game series.
