The Golden State Warriors rocked the Los Angeles Lakers to sleep Thursday night 108-90. The Lakers were playing without LeBron James and most of their good players due to a combination of injuries and load management. Meanwhile, the reigning back-to-back champions were playing without mercy.
DeMarcus Cousins led the Warriors with 21 points and 10 rebounds, outclassing former Warriors center JaVale McGee. Quinn Cook added 18 points off of the bench, while Kevin Durant tallied up 15.
First Half
What if I were to tell you that Steph Curry only had 5 points in the first half and the Warriors committed 12 turnovers, but were blowing the Lakers out by halftime?
The champs jumped out on this fallen from grace version of the Lakers with a vicious ferocity I haven’t seen since I watched “Shark Week”. The Dubs lead ballooned to double digits immediately in the first quarter, without Curry scoring a single point.
The second quarter featured the Lakers making a mini-run to show some pride, but the Dubs weren’t too worried.
Durant led the Dubs with 13 points after two quarters, while Quinn Cook added 12 off of the bench, and DeMarcus Cousins put up 10 of his own.

Second Half
At that point the game was pretty much a wrap, but hey we still had another 24 minutes on the clock so we might as well keep playing, right folks?
And that pretty much sums it all up. I remember when the Shaq-and-Kobe Lakers used to beat up on us like this back when we were awful; I can truly say I enjoyed every second of tonight’s beatdown.
