Tonight’s Golden State Warriors and the Indiana Pacers should’ve been rated E for easy work.
Powered behind a 40 point first quarter, the Warriors would go on to demolish the Pacers 132-100. Stephen Curry led all scorers with 26, while DeMarcus Cousins had his best game as a Warrior thus far, scoring a season high 22 points to go with six rebounds and four assists. Here are a few takeaways from tonight’s game.

Stephen Curry’s efficiency is a thing of beauty. Tonight, he splashed six straight three’s en route to his 26 point night off of 10 of 13 from the field. He also finished third in rebounds tonight with six.
Curry became the first player in NBA history to hit at least 200 three-pointers for the seventh consecutive season. He finished the game shooting 6-of-8 from deep including this ridiculous shot at the end of the first half.
A stepback three from nearly 40 feet? Only Steph.
Crisp Ball Movement
The Dubs totaled 39 assists tonight, and improved to 18-3 on the season when dishing 30 plus assists. Andre Iguodala led the way with 8 assists, followed by Kevin Durant’s 7. The amount of assists wasn’t as impressive as the way the Warriors got them. Golden State absolutely feasted on Indiana’s defense with various cuts and picks to the basket.
Worth noting, Draymond Green, didn’t play due to rest but Durant, Iguodala and Cousins did more than enough to fill in for Green as facilitators.
A Feast in the Paint
The Warriors outscored the Pacers 60-42 in the paint. Kevon Looney scored a season-high of 15 points, all from inside. Cousins also showed flashes of pre-injury bully ball by backing down defenders in the post and getting some easy baskets and even a dunk in the second half. Tonight’s performance was reminiscent of last week’s game in Washington when the Dubs scored a season-high 70 points in the paint. As Cousins continues to progress, look for these interior numbers to be more of a regular occurrence than an outlier.
