Lakers Trade rumors

There have been countless Los Angeles Lakers rumors involving several different NBA superstars since Magic Johnson took over as President of Basketball Operations. Since LeBron James signed with the team at the beginning of July, no player has been more heavily mentioned in the Lakers rumors than Kawhi Leonard.

Magic Johnson has said that he won’t be making a head coaching change, as Luke Walton will remain on the bench for the regular season.

Personnel changes could be coming, though.

ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith suggested a major trade for the Lakers this morning.

The target: Washington Wizards All-Star guard Bradley Beal.

The Wizards are off to a bad start and there are some who think one of Wall/Beal/Porter will get moved.

However, Beal is probably the one most-likely to remain in D.C. He’s still young and has developed into a legitimate All-Star.

The Lakers could offer a package featuring Brandon Ingram and Josh Hart, among others, but the Wizards would likely turn those packages down.

So while the Lakers rumors around Kawhi Leonard might not be so promising, it could be a one step back, two steps forward situation that leads to an even bigger star in Anthony Davis.
