Amazon is cutting its popular pre-order discount deal, which means NBA 2K fans shouldn’t wait to pick up this year’s edition.

NBA 2K19 standard edition doesn’t officially hit stores until September 11, but if you know you’re going to buy this year’s game, you should stop everything you’re doing and order it right now.

OK, maybe that’s a bit too intense, but NBA 2K19 fans shouldn’t wait around to buy this year’s edition. Why? Because one of the best pre-order deals is coming to an end very soon.

Amazon is ending its 20 percent Prime discount on video game pre-orders
As our friends at The Verge reported, Amazon will replace the popular two-year-old Prime program with a $10 pre-order credit starting on August 28. The pre-order credit will be for select titles only and take up to 35 days to arrive.

What will happen if I pre-order NBA 2K19 after Aug. 28?
You won’t save anything on your purchase. Instead of paying $47.99 thanks to the Prime pre-order discount, you’ll be charged the regular price at $59.96. At this point, it’s unclear if NBA 2K19 pre-order purchases will be eligible for the $10 credit.

So, how can I still take advantage of the pre-order discount?
Buy it now! Seriously, if you’re like me and pick up the new NBA 2K every year, you should take advantage of the offer while it’s still around and save a few extra bucks.

Before you make the move, make sure you’re an Amazon Prime member. If not, sign up now for a free 30-day trial to save on your NBA 2K19 purchase.
