It started off horribly, but Golden State got the huge W.

Wow. What a game.

The Golden State Warriors could not have played worse to start the game. They had no energy or passion, couldn’t rebound, and were playing horrible offense. Klay Thompson committed three fouls less than four minutes into the game. They trailed the Houston Rockets by as many as 15 points, and entered halftime down 11.

And then, as it has all series, things flipped when the third quarter began. The Warriors went crazy, and outscored the Rockets by 18 points in the third frame. Stephen Curry played out of his mind, the Rockets went ice cold (they missed 27 consecutive threes at one point), and the energy, momentum, and desperation switched sides.

And the Warriors never looked back, winning 101-92.

With the win, Golden State competed the comeback from down 3-2, and, more importantly, they advance to the NBA Finals for the fourth consecutive year. Waiting for them are the Cleveland Cavaliers, just as in the previous three years.

Game 1 is Thursday, May 31, at Oracle Arena in Oakland.
