The Warriors started off poorly but came back strong in the second half to win Game 6.

The Golden State Warriors earned a big 115-86 win over the Houston Rockets in Game 6 of the 2018 Western Conference Finals to stay alive.

As many expected, winning a playoff game in Oracle Arena without star point guard Chris Paul was simply too big an obstacle to overcome for the Rockets.

But we should definitely take a moment to show some respect to the Rockets: the Warriors were down 10 at halftime and had to confront a deficit as big as 17 in the first half. The Rockets were not gonna roll over just because Paul was out, but they also made the Warriors pay for some unbelievably sloppy play. Harden, in particular, hit a number of difficult shots to finish with a team-high 32 points.

But the second half was a different story: the Rockets showed signs of fatigue after having to get by with an even shorter rotation without Paul and the Warriors started to hit their stride. Klay Thompsonfinished with a game-high 35 while Steph Curry finished with 29 points and 6 assists.

With the win, the Warriors will travel to Houston for the decisive Game 7. And while plenty will be written about the matchups and course of the series to this point, the biggest questions are still about injuries: will Andre Iguodala return in Game 7 and how healthy will he be? How will the Rockets approach Game 7 if they have to play without Chris Paul once again?

Game 7 will take place on Monday, May 28th at 6 p.m. PST at the Toyota Center in Houston.
