J.R. claps back at claims that LeBron is leaving.
In case you have been living under a rock, LeBron James is a free agent after this upcoming season. As with every season that James has an impending free agency, people have been running wild with speculation regarding what decision he is going to make.
The Los Angeles Lakers have been one of the most commonly brought up destinations when people discuss what James might do.
The Cavs just wrapped up a LeBron-hosted mini camp at the University of California, in Santa Barbara. With the team just outside of Los Angeles, it was almost a certainty that some members of the team would have a night out in L.A.
Enter J.R. Smith.
Smith was leaving the restaurant Poppy in L.A. when he was bombarded by a photographer. The cameraman pressed Smith about whether or not James is going to leave again. After a heated exchange and Smith roasting the cameraman for his outfit, the following exchange occurred:
Photog: "LeBron's gone man. Deal with it."
J.R.: "LeBron's still here. He's still here."
Photog: "You think LeBron's gonna come to L.A.?
J.R.: "I think LeBron's gonna be wherever the f**k he wanna be at!"
A few keen ears also have picked up that Smith almost slipped up, before shutting the photographer down
