With training camp set to start, the Warriors have officially filled out their roster

While NBA teams can only have 15 players on their active roster once the season starts, they’re allowed up to 20 during training camp. And with camp set to start on Saturday, the Golden State Warriors have officially finalized their preseason roster, by announcing the signings of four players: Antonius Cleveland, Michael Gbinije, Alex Hamilton, and Georges Niang.

There’s a little bit of NBA experience in the group. Gbinije played 9 games for the Detroit Pistons last year, though he only managed 32 minutes. Niang spent the year with the Indiana Pacers, where he saw 93 minutes of action in 23 games. All four saw heavy minutes in the G-League.

Since the Warriors already have their 15 fully guaranteed contracts, none of these player are fighting for an active roster spot, barring an injury or the unlikely waiving of Kevon Looney. However, they can be waived and join the Santa Cruz Warriors, where Hamilton played last year.

One of these players could also earn a two-way contract, a new rule that is being implemented this season. Each team has a pair of two-way contracts that they can use (the Dubs are already using one on undrafted rookie Chris Boucher). Those players spend the year in the G-League, but can spend up to 45 days on the NBA roster.

With the roster rounded out, here’s how it looks headed into training camp:

Guaranteed contracts:

Jordan Bell

Omri Casspi

Stephen Curry

Kevin Durant

Draymond Green

Andre Iguodala

Damian Jones

Shaun Livingston

Kevon Looney

Patrick McCaw

JaVale McGee

Zaza Pachulia

Klay Thompson

David West

Nick Young

Two-way contracts:

Chris Boucher

Non-guaranteed contracts:

Antonius Cleveland

Michael Gbinije

Alex Hamilton

Georges Niang

Here’s the crazy thing about that roster when you look up the players’ heights: Curry is the only guy reporting to camp under 6-foot-6. That’s right — the Warriors’ smallest player is the deadliest offensive force in the history of basketball.

So the smallest player is deadly, some guy with two Twitter accounts who the Warriors claim is 6-foot-9 was the 2017 NBA Finals MVP, and everyone else is between 6-foot-6 and 7-feet.

Best of luck to the rest of the league.
