Kyle Singler hit double-figures; Nick Collison flashed back; and all is right in Thunder Land

On a night where Russell Westbrook and other key Oklahoma City Thunder cogs gained “playoff-bound DNPCD’s,” Victor Oladipo sank the homestanding Minnesota Timberwolves late for a 100-98 win.

This next-to-last regular-season contest overcame a dearth of competitive relevance with a heaping scoop of camp value. Kyle Singler, a perennial-WTLC favorite, resembled pre-OKC Singler with a season-high 11 points and four rebounds.

Another WTLC mainstay, R.K. Anthony, was so overwhelmed by Singler’s long-awaited “Thunder debut” that he offered the following quote:

“Well well, Kyle Singler playing like the Detroit Singler Presti traded for. I guess Detroit Singler missed the plane and has been walking to OKC ever since..... welcome to the Thunder Detroit Kyle Singler.”

Domantas Sabonis (19), Steven Adams (10), Norris Cole (12) and Enes Kanter (10), each joined Singler and Oladipo in double-figure scoring as Westbrook, Andre Roberson, Taj Gibson, and Doug McDermott enjoyed a bird’s-eye view.

Minnesota (31-50) has dropped five-straight after flashing tantalizing potential.

Meanwhile, the 47-34 Thunder finish their regular-season tomorrow evening vs. a Denver Nuggets squad they recently eliminated from playoff contention.

Then, this weekend, it is on to a highly anticipated first-round playoff series with Houston.
