Nick Diaz hasn’t made a return the Octagon yet, but he’s been hanging out with Snoop Dogg.

There’s no one in MMA quite like Nick Diaz. Even though he hasn’t won a fight since 2011 and was suspended for long portions of the last five years, he is still one of the most popular fighters out there. He is now eligible to return to the Octagon, but has apparently turned down bouts with Robbie Lawler and UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley already.

Nonetheless, he is out there doing some media. One of those spots was with the infamous Snoop Dogg on an episode of GGN News. On the show, he talked about his relationship with the late Kimbo Slice, who he actually hung out and smoked weed with before EliteXC and Strikeforce shows (via MMA Fighting):

“We was always hanging out at the Strikeforce events or EliteXC back in the day,” Diaz said. “We used to smoke blunts.”

...

:We would headline the whole show. It was me and Kimbo Slice.”

“I knew it was the Kimbo Slice show, but it was me and the Kimbo Slice show,” Diaz said. “Because I was the MMA fighter that was bringing the MMA crowd and he was the streetfighter bringing the street crowd.”

He did address his return to the UFC, but basically gave a non-answer about wanting to fight someone who stands out. One interesting tidbit was when he was asked who his favorite fighter was. He joked that it was Carlos Condit - the man that Diaz has accusing of running away from him in their 2012 bout many times - before settling on his brother, Nate Diaz. He did actually give Condit some props though, even if it was a little back-handed;

“Stylistically, though, I’ve always liked Carlos Condit, because he at least amounted to at least the level of doing what I do,” Diaz said. “I mean, but I think he stands a little upright.”
