Defense is key in third straight win
In front of a full house thanks to the introduction of their Prince themed jerseys, the Wolves were The Beautiful Ones tonight in a 112-96 win over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Wolves led throughout on their way to their third straight win since Jimmy Butler was shipped off, and you could tell once again that they were enjoying their basketball.
The Lakers should expect to be without Rajon Rondo for the next month or so, but he’s still being vocal in practice and helping lead the team.
The Lakers announced that Rondo had successful surgery on his broken right hand on Thursday, and that he will miss 4-5 weeks. Original story follows.

Los Angeles—The Minnesota Timberwolves will trade unsettled star Jimmy Butler to the Philadelphia 76ers in a deal which will see three players head the other way, the US media reported Saturday.
Butler, 29, has been agitating for a move away from the Timberwolves since the start of the season, handing a transfer request in September.
There have been countless Los Angeles Lakers rumors involving several different NBA superstars since Magic Johnson took over as President of Basketball Operations. Since LeBron James signed with the team at the beginning of July, no player has been more heavily mentioned in the Lakers rumors than Kawhi Leonard.
Magic Johnson has said that he won’t be making a head coaching change, as Luke Walton will remain on the bench for the regular season.
Personnel changes could be coming, though.
