John Dodson fought out of his UFC contract with a split-decision victory over Pedro Munhoz at UFC 222 in Las Vegas, NV, on March 3, but his opponent is frustrated and upset with the judges’ call.

A few days after the decision defeat, “leaving the emotion aside and evaluating the criteria” after rewatching the fight “several times,” Munhoz spoke to MMA Fighting and voiced his discontent. “The Young Punisher” thought he had done enough to win rounds two and three.

A UFC light heavyweight was suspended for use of an alternative medical treatment, but will be able to return to the Octagon soon.

USADA sanctioned Ion Cutelaba for six months due to a prohibited administration of ozone therapy, the UFC’s anti-doping partner announced Thursday. Ozone therapy is an alternative treatment that introduces ozone into the body with the goal of increasing oxygen. There is no peer-reviewed research supporting its effectiveness as a medical technique.

Amanda Nunes vs. Raquel Pennington is on, after all.

The UFC bantamweight title fight had long been expected for UFC 224 on Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, on May 12.

The bout was called into question after last weekend’s UFC 222, when company president Dana White declared he was looking at the option of having Nunes next fight featherweight champ Cris Cyborg, who scored a one-sided win over Yana Kunitskaya in the evening’s main event.
