Darren Till have the roar of the crowd behind him when he takes on Jorge Masvidal at UFC London this weekend, but Masvidal doesn’t care.
As the nickname implies, ‘Gamebred’ is willing to fight anyone, just about anywhere.
Israel Adesanya has addressed recent comments from UFC middleweight champion Robert Whitakker in which he downplayed Adesanya’s abilities.
Whittaker took to his podcast to say he feels Adesanya isn’t as good as he thinks he is, something which “The Last Stylebender” hopes to disprove. Talking to Submission Radio recently, Adesanya discussed why Whittaker’s comments don’t affect him.
The UFC’s next pay-per-view is exactly one month from today, and it features a pair of (interim) championship fights. In the main event, reigning men’s featherweight champion Max Holloway goes up to lightweight to take on Dustin Poirier for the interim strap, seven years removed from when Poirier tapped a debuting Holloway at UFC 143. As for the co-main, Kelvin Gastelum and Israel Adesanya vie for interim middleweight gold, with the winner expected to fight actual champion Robert Whittaker.
Alexander Gustafsson and Anthony Smith are both looking to rebound from their losses to Jon Jones, but only one man will emerge victorious at UFC on ESPN+ 10.
Gustafsson, who has failed to capture the UFC light heavyweight title on three separate occasions, was recently knocked out by Jon Jones at UFC 232. ‘The Mauler’ also dropped a highly contested decision to ‘Bones’ back in 2013.
Michael Bisping will be in attendance for UFC London this weekend, where Jorge Masvidal will take on hometown favorite Darren Till in the main event.
Bisping and Masvidal haven’t exactly been on the best terms for the last two years, and ‘The Count’ is looking to have a one-to-one with ‘Gamebred’ in hopes of making amends.
While UFC 235’s main event might not have been particularly compelling on paper, the overall card was a strong offering that has seemingly generated an impressive buyrate on pay-per-view.
MMA Fighting’s Dave Meltzer reports that early PPV estimates for the March 2nd show, headlined by Jon Jones’ light heavyweight title defense triumph over Anthony Smith, ranges between 520,000 and 650,000 buys.

The promotion’s #14 ranked welterweight Elizeu Zaleski dos Santos just ran through Curtis Millender in the first round of the UFC Wichita co-main event. The Brazilian has dazzled in the Octagon with his striking, but it was his ground game that aided him in his dominant win over Millender, as he was able to get a rear-naked choke after taking his foe down early in the contest.
Bloody Elbow’s Connor Ruebusch breaks down one of the former heavyweight champion’s most effective weapons ahead of his scheduled fight with Derrick Lewis.
This Saturday, former heavyweight champion Junior Dos Santos is scheduled to take on the one and only Derrick Lewis. The Black Beast is is likely the most singularly powerful fighter on the entire UFC roster. Though he was succinctly beaten by heavyweight champ Daniel Cormier in November, Lewis is nonetheless nine and two in his last 11 fights.
UFC 235 couldn’t have gone much more poorly for Mickey Gall. The New Jersey native came into his fight with Diego Sanchez looking to add another notable name to his record. And while he talked a good game during fight week, when it came time to deliver it was Sanchez picking up his first TKO win in more than a decade.
