Frankie Edgar vs. Jeremy Stephens, 4 more fights confirmed for UFC 205

The UFC 205 card in New York is slowly but surely coming together with the full card set to be announced in just a few days.

The latest matchup added to the historic card at Madison Square Garden is a featherweight matchup between Frankie Edgar and Jeremy Stephens.

The fight was announced via "UFC Tonight" on Wednesday.

Edgar will fight close to home as the New Jersey native looks to bounce back from a loss to Jose Aldo at UFC 200 when he returns on Nov. 12.

As for Stephens, he's fresh off a victory over former bantamweight champion Renan Barao and now he'll try to add Edgar's name to his growing resume at 145 pounds.

Four more fights were also confirmed for UFC 205 including:

Donald "Cowboy" Cerrone vs. Kelvin Gastelum

    Tim Kennedy vs. Rashad Evans

    Tim Boetsch vs. Rafael Natal

    Liz Carmouche vs. Katlyn Chookagian

The UFC is expected to announce the full card on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 6 p.m. ET at a press conference held at Madison Square Garden hosted by UFC president Dana White.
