The UFC will have its second foray into the Philippines on October 15, and the card headlined by B.J. Penn vs. Ricardo Lamas is shaping up. Two more bouts have been added making 11 bouts total that are official for the Manila event.
Sam Alvey will get yet another quick turnaround, and will be in a middleweight bout against Alex Nicholson. After losing a somewhat uneventful decision last June, Alvey picked up two stoppage wins in July and August. This will be his 4th bout in the span of 5 months.
To add local flavor to the card, the UFC has also signed PXC flyweight champ Jenel Lausa. The Filipino will be facing TUF: China alum, Yao Zhikui.
Lausa is 6-2 in MMA, and won the PXC flyweight title back in January. The 28-year-old has also been balancing a career as a pro-boxer, where he took a local PBF title and improved to 7-0 last July.
Apart from the previously reported 5 bouts, UFC Manila will also include familiar veterans from the Asian scene in Jon Tuck, Dongi Yang and Yusuke Kasuya.
