UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith fight card shaping up

The lineup for March 2nd’s UFC 235 pay-per-view looks absolutely fantastic thus far.

The UFC’s first Las Vegas show of 2019 is expected to feature two championship fights. UFC 235’s main event is supposed to be Jon Jones defending his light heavyweight belt vs. Anthony Smith, but Jones still needs to be licensed by the Nevada Athletic Commission on January 29th. It’s a risk that I’ve even written “UFC 235: Jones vs. Smith” in the title to be honest with you.

Anyway, the co-main event is a welterweight title bout between Tyron Woodley and Kamaru Usman, much to the dismay of Colby Covington. Also on tap is ex-men’s bantamweight king Cody Garbrandt taking on Pedro Munhoz, former women’s bantamweight champion Holly Holm against rising star Aspen Ladd, and the UFC debut of Ben Askren against former welterweight champion Robbie Lawler. I haven’t even mentioned Zabit Magomedsharipov battling Jeremy Stephens until just now!

We should only have 2-3 more slots to fill for this card and then we’re all set. For now, here’s what is lined up for UFC 235 on March 2nd at the T-Mobile Arena:

    Jon Jones vs. Anthony Smith
    Tyron Woodley vs. Kamaru Usman
    Cody Garbrandt vs. Pedro Munhoz
    Holly Holm vs. Aspen Ladd
    Ben Askren vs. Robbie Lawler
    Jeremy Stephens vs. Zabit Magomedsharipov
Ovince Saint Preux vs. Misha Cirkunov
    Macy Chiasson vs. Gina Mazany
    Diego Sanchez vs. Mickey Gall
    Tecia Torres vs. Weili Zhang
