Thiago Santos vs. Jan Blachowicz to headline UFC event in Prague

Thiago Santos will look to continue his strong run at light heavyweight when he heads over to Europe.

Thiago Santos is continuing to prove that he’ll step into the Octagon any time, any where. The former longtime middleweight will take his sixth fight in just over 12 months, and his third in a row at light heavyweight, when he faces off with veteran Jan Blachowicz at a UFC event in Prague in February.

The bout will be the headliner for UFC on ESPN+ 3. The promotion officially announced the matchup earlier today.

Santos (20-6) has stopped both Eryk Anders and Jimi Manuwa in his first two fights at 205 pounds, rocketing up the rankings in to the seven position. Blachowicz (23-7) is on a four-fight winning streak, the most recent coming via submission over Nikita Krylov. He is currently ranked as the number four contender in the light heavyweight division.

Another fight that is rumored for the card, but not yet confirmed, will come in the heavyweight division with Stefan Struve meeting Marcos Rogerio De Lima.

UFC on ESPN+ 3 goes down on February 23rd in the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic. It is the promotion’s first trip to the country.
