Days before Paige VanZant fight, Jessica-Rose Clark dealing with home robbery, attack on pet

Jessica-Rose Clark should be solely focused on perhaps the biggest fight of her career. Instead, three days before facing Paige VanZant, she’s having to deal with being the victim of a crime and a badly injured pet.
Clark tweeted Thursday that her Las Vegas home was broken into and many of her things were stolen. Worse still, she wrote that the perpetrators attacked her and her roommates’ pet cat, which will have to be “put down.

Clark, an Australia native, is in Missouri for UFC St. Louis. She’ll fight VanZant in the co-main event of the card Sunday night. It’s a huge opportunity for Clark. VanZant is one of the more well-known UFC fighters, having competed on Dancing With The Stars.

Clark (8-4, 1 NC) won her UFC debut at UFC Sydney in November and has won two straight overall. A victory over VanZant would give her a leg up in the UFC’s fledgling women’s flyweight division. Clark, 30, is a veteran of Invicta FC and Titan FC.

Unfortunately for her, Clark will likely have a lot on her mind this week other than the weight cut and the fight. She said televisions, guitars, DVDs and video games were all stolen from the home. The alleged thieves were three people, including a “small female with her hair in a bun” and reddish-blonde hair and two men, Clark tweeted. They were driving a white sedan and possibly a gray truck.
