Rony Jason denies assaulting sister: ‘I’m not and never was aggressive

Former UFC veteran Rony Jason speaks up for the first time about the videos where he was seen assaulting a woman.

Former UFC featherweight fighter Rony Jason has been involved in a major controversy, as of late. It was all rooted from a video that surfaced where he was seen allegedly punching a woman on the ground, in what looked like a house party in Brazil.

A second video of the incident also went up, and this time, Jason was seen furiously screaming at the woman as she laid on the ground. To make matters worse for him, the woman turns out to be his own sister, whom he apparently has had long-standing personal issues with.

Despite the two videos that came out, Jason spoke up to deny the assault allegations. The fighter explained everything in writing through Instagram, which was obtained by MMA Fighting before the account was set to private.

I didn’t assault my sister. Where’s the photo of the assault? There is no (photo) because there was no (assault). She came to attack me, ‘her history in the city’, I pushed her and she went down, I decided to get it off my chest because I’m the youngest son of the family and I support my two siblings who never worked, and her with two kids.

I’m not and never was aggressive. I didn’t assault my sister and that didn’t even cross my mind, but constant dripping wears away the stone. She said in comments and in reports that she came to 'teach me a moral lesson’, but you have to have moral to begin with. She’s almost 40 with two kids, supported her entire life by her mother and by me. Anyway… I’m not in favor of aggression, who knows me know I was never in favor of it. But let’s move on with life because God gives the worst missions to his best soldiers. Nothing is in vain.

Jason has since been cut by the UFC, but according to the company statement, he was released “after suffering three losses in his last four bouts.”
