UFC 216 salaries: Five fighters break $100,000 in 2.2 million dollar payroll

Tony Ferguson made half a million dollars for his interim title win.

UFC 216 is in the books and while it wasn’t a huge card in terms of viewership (presumably), guys on the top of the card did make some decent money. Five fighters made over $100,000, with Tony Ferguson leading the way at a cool half million for his UFC interim lightweight title win over Kevin Lee.

Flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, who pulled off one of the most insane submissions in the history of the sport, pulled in 370k for his win. That was actually topped by former heavyweight champ Fabricio Werdum, who made 400k for 65 seconds of work.

One other notable thing is that Mark Godbeer, who was removed from the card at the last minute so Walt Harris could fight Werdum, was paid his show and win money, and will apparently be booked again at UFC 217.

Here’s a look at the full salaries via the Nevada State Athletic Commission, which totaled 2.178 million:

    Main Card (PPV)

    Tony Ferguson ($250,000 + $250,000 = $500,000) def. Kevin Lee ($250,000)

Demetrious Johnson ($370,000 + no win bonus = $370,000) def. Ray Borg ($100,000)

    Fabricio Werdum ($275,000 + $125,000 = $400,000) def. Walt Harris ($28,000)

    Mara Romero Borella ($12,000 + $12,000 = $24,000) def. Kalindra Faria ($12,000)

Beneil Dariush ($48,000) vs. Evan Dunham ($40,000)

    Preliminary Card (FXX)

    Cody Stamann ($12,000 + $12,000 = $24,000) def. Tom Duquesnoy ($23,000)

Bobby Green ($24,000) vs. Lando Vannata ($25,000)

Poliana Botelho ($10,000) def. Pearl Gonzalez ($10,000)

    Matt Schnell ($10,000 + $10,000 = $20,000) def. Marco Beltran ($14,000)

    Preliminary Card (UFC Fight Pass)

    John Moraga ($34,000 + $34,000 = $68,000) def. Magomed Bibulatov ($17,000)

    Brad Tavares ($37,000 + $37,000 = $74,000) def. Thales Leites ($57,000)

    * Mark Godbeer: ($15,000 + $15,000 = $30,000)
