UFC 215 results: Rafael dos Anjos easily submits Neil Magny

Rafael dos Anjos improved to 2-0 at welterweight with a ridiculously easy win over Neil Magny at UFC 215.

In the co-main event of UFC 215, former lightweight champion Rafael dos Anjos made a convincing case for himself to be the next title contender at welterweight, as he ran through Neil Magny on the ground and submitted him in under four minutes. It wasn’t even slightly competitive.

An immediate leg kick swept Magny off of his feet and dos Anjos was on top in the blink of an eye. RDA had head-and-arm control from half-guard and passed to side control. Dos Anjos passed to mount and was ready to rain down some punishment. After some elbows, RDA passed to side control again and sunk in a fight-ending arm-triangle choke.

Official result: Rafael dos Anjos def. Neil Magny by submission (arm-triangle choke) at 3:43 of round 1

Dos Anjos is 2-0 at 170-pounds and he looks better than ever. Magny has lost two of his last three and he’s been destroyed in those defeats. Lorenz Larkin dominated him on the feet, RDA schooled him on the ground.
