DJ, TJ, and Borg speak up over UFC’s announcement of Mighty Mouse vs. Dillashaw

Has the UFC put the cart in front of the horse again? Dana White says the promotion is working to book Demetrious Johnson vs. TJ Dillashaw, but it looks like they’ll have their work cut out for them.

If the UFC has plan for Demetrious Johnson’s next title defense, it seems they haven’t got the champion on board yet. In a recent interview with ESPN, Dana White announced that the promotion was working to get a fight booked between ‘Mighty Mouse’ and former bantamweight champion T.J. Dillashaw.

This news came in the wake of Cody Garbrandt’s recent back injury that saw a planned bantamweight title fight for UFC 213 go up in smoke.

However, it’s starting to sound like it won’t even take an injury for the UFC’s Johnson vs. Dillashaw flyweight bout to fall apart. Shortly after White’s announcement, Johnson took to social media to make it clear that not only had he not accepted a fight with Dillashaw, but it seems as though he has no plans to either.

On the flip side, Dillashaw is making his own case on social media for a shot at DJ’s belt with an online poll.

While Borg just needs all of the ‘turds’ out there to understand that he wants to get back in the cage as quickly as possible, and most of the top fighters at 125 are already booked or injured.

Will the UFC make Demetrious Johnson an offer he can’t refuse? Will Dillashaw be forced to wait out Cody Garbrandt’s injury? Who does Ray Borg fight right now if not the champ? Hopefully the next couple weeks bring some clarity to the flyweight title picture.
